摘要: Abstract Squamous cell vulvar carcinoma accounts for 4% of all gynecologic malignancies. The cause cancer is still unclear. Identification new biologic factors involved in carcinogenesis may be useful clarifying the natural history this malignancy. We investigated immunohistochemical expression retinoblastoma-related proteins pRB2/p130 and CKI p27 kip1 a series 51 invasive squamous carcinomas vulva (ISCCs) synchronous normal skin, non-neoplastic epithelial disorders (NNED) intraepithelial neoplasia (VIN). Normal skin staining showed positivity both . Loss occurred 29 (57%) specimens ISCCs, 1 7 with VIN (14%; P =.04). also observed significant decrease from NNED to neoplastic tissues (VIN ISCCs) ( =.004). was found 16 (31%) carcinomas, (14%) VIN, 2 18 (11%). did not correlate significantly any clinicopathologic parameters examined. Our data indicate that loss are frequent events compared premalignant lesions, disorders, skin. progressive alterations through suggests role tumor suppressor gene carcinogenesis. HUM PATHOL 32:4-9.
