摘要: Adenosma bracteosum Bonati. (A. bracteosum) has been used in traditional and modern medicine Vietnam for curing hepatitis. In this study, ethanol aqueous extracts of A. were evaluated their α-glucosidase inhibitory activities anti-hyperglycemic effects on glucose loaded hyperglycemic streptozotocin (STZ) induced diabetic mice. The inhibition the was by colorimetric assays, anti-diabetic activity tested a STZ-induced mice model. showed significant activity, which more effective than acarbose at same concentration. mice, both strong with group receiving 50 mg/kg extract presenting 64.42% 57.69% reductions, respectively, blood levels when compared control group, day 21 (p > 0.05). Isoscutellarein-8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (IG) identified from extract, against α-glucosidase, ten times higher potency positive acarbose. effect IG effectively similar to standard drug, glibenclamide, dose 10 These results indicated that great antidiabetic potential.
