摘要: Background & Aims HLA class I alleles are linked to spontaneous control of hepatitis C virus (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus−1, but for HCV the roles particular corresponding CD8 + T-cell responses remain incompletely defined. We aimed determine correlations between these natural outcomes associated key responses. Methods In a cohort individuals, we determined alleles, outcomes, responses, examined sequence data mutational changes within epitopes. Results Carriage HLA-B*57 was with higher rate viral clearance (risk ratio=2.0; 95% confidence interval: 1.2−3.4), while HLA-B*08 lower ratio=0.34; 0.1−0.9]. Two −restricted epitopes were targeted in clearance; subjects chronic viremia expressing harbored strains high frequency mutations residues. −mediated escape supported by diminished immune recognition variants acute infection revealing evolution toward less recognized variants. Analysis genotype 1b strain from single-source outbreak which not protective revealed variations that interfere immunogenicity, thereby preventing -mediated pressure. Conclusions Our indicate role mediating infection, containing epitope abrogate effects . The finding antiviral immunity is both virus−1 suggests common shared mechanism successful response against persistent viruses.
