摘要: The effect of changing the amount polyunsaturated fat in diet aged female Fischer 344 rats at time tumor implant on metastasis from 13762 transplantable mammary was studied. Three experiments were performed. ( a ) Retired breeders, maintained standard commercial chows until 10 to 12 mo age, transferred high (HF, 23% corn oil) or low (LF, 5% diets for 4 wk; implant, half each group kept their original diets, while changed other i.e. , HF→HF, HF→LF, LF→LF, LF→HF). b Aged virgins, 14 16 old, fed HF and LF weaning; stayed diet, remained LF. c breeders Purina rodent chow (5% mainly saturated fat) when they placed either diets. Six wk after all necropsied, extent pulmonary determined. Data expressed as volume metastases. In Experiment 1, animals had significantly more metastases than those diet. Likewise 2, less which weaning then both before implant. Finally, 3, there no significant difference between two groups; both, comparable that seen oil also examined light body weight, growth primary tumor, food disappearance. These results suggest consumed by is an important determinant tumor. However, period prefeeding semipurified appears be required order stimulate this system.
