Preliminary study of cold spraying using radial supersonic nozzle

摘要: The paper deals with the problem of coating production on internal pipe surfaces by cold spraying. It reports a new assembly design radial supersonic nozzle that greatly facilitates application aluminium, copper and nickel coatings onto surfaces. Visualisation Pitot tube measurements airflow produced assist to predict range diameters, in which pipes could be successfully coated from inside using designed instrument. velocity aluminium particles has been measured at exit calculated particle velocities under actual spray conditions. Finally, mass energy consumption characteristics process deposition efficiencies achievable typical experimental conditions have calculated. Those calculations allowed us evaluate cost potential introduction into production.
