摘要: This research investigated empirically the qualities of improved soil management practices (ISMPs) most likely to lead land user adoption. Land users' perceptions soil-related constraints were in two hillside districts eastern Uganda. The looked at rationale for adopting and adapting specific ISMPs end a two-year period increased advice support. engagement with markedly after this support multifunctionality, that is, provision number different products or benefits, was seen be common characteristic those taken up by users. It is argued search ‘best-bet’ ISMPs, multifunctionality may particularly relevant easily measurable indicator adoption practice also demonstrates value supporting users their efforts adapt fit own circumstances.
