摘要: The objectives were to study the distribution of ankle-brachial pressure indices (ABPI) in elderly men relation arteriosclerotic risk factors, cardiovascular morbidity and total mortality. data are taken from prospective cohort "Men born 1914" Malmo, a city southern Sweden with 220,000 inhabitants single referral hospital. Prevalence low ABPI ( or = 0.90. Mean systolic blood median plasma triglyceride levels significantly higher group ABPI. Thirty (45%) 87 (21%) above 0.90 died during follow-up (p < 0.001). Cardiac event rate was 25% (17/67) 10% (41/410) other 0.001).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
