摘要: Matrix metalloproteinase 13 (MMP-13), urokinase type plasminogen activator (uPA), and inhibitor type-1 (PAI-1) have been reported to be involved in aseptic loosening of artificial hip joints. This study for the first time presents protein levels all these factors synovial-like interfaces between bone prosthesis pseudocapsular tissues surrounding joint patients with (n=17) measured by ELISA. No differences were observed antigen expression MMP-13, uPA, PAI-1, comparing interface tissue. Also, no significant correlation years from arthroplasty revision or fixation (cemented vs. cementless) was observed. As control, PAI-1 also determined synovium osteoarthritis (n=10). Yet, tissue specimens joints significantly higher compared their synovial capsular obtained osteoarthritis. In conclusion, this shows that elevated MMP-13 periprosthetic after total replacement due seem not associated patient outcome.
