摘要: :Cowdria ruminantium is an obligate intracellular rickettsial pathogen which responsible for a tick-borne disease of domestic and wild ruminants called heartwater or cowdriosis. Although several genes have been cloned partially sequenced, the genome size, gross structure, organization C. unknown. Genome analysis organism has hindered because it difficult to obtain DNA free from contaminating host cell DNA, this probably accounts lack size data organism. In study we investigated methods purifying bovine cellular contaminants organisms relatively high purity were obtained. These used prepare Cowdria was analyzed by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) revealed approximately 1900 kbp in length plus additional extra-chromosomal fragment migrating with apparent 815 kbp. This first time that determined demonstration extrachromosomal element.
