摘要: Macrobrachium rosenbergii, known as the giant freshwater prawn or Malaysian prawn, is sixth largest aquaculture species in Asia. Knowledge of genetic diversity M. rosenbergii important to support management and conservation programmes, which will subsequently help sustainable production this economically species. This study aimed analyse population structure five populations using 11 microsatellite loci. In analysing 240 samples, number alleles, observed heterozygosity (HO) expected (HE) ranged from 3 20, 0.250 0.978 0.556 0.944 respectively. The stocks displayed high level diversity. Both FST amova analyses showed that there was significant differentiation among all populations. UPGMA dendrogram based on Nei's distance matrix revealed Narmada Mahi were one cluster Mahanadi Subarnarekha another single major branch, whereas Kerala clearly a separate cluster. information variation be useful for improvement Indian M. rosenbergii.
