摘要: Abstract Mice have increasingly been used as a model for studies of myopia. The key to successful use mice myopia research is the ability obtain accurate measurements refractive status their eyes. In order errors in mice, refraction needs be performed along optical axis eye. This represents particular challenge, because are very difficult immobilize. Recently, ketamine–xylazine anesthesia has immobilize before measuring errors, combination with tropicamide ophthalmic solution induce mydriasis. Although these drugs while refracting effects on state mouse eye not yet investigated. Therefore, we analyzed drops and P40 C57BL/6J mice. We also explored two alternative methods i.e. restraining platform pentobarbital anesthesia. found that caused small, but statistically significant, hyperopic shift refraction. Pentobarbital did any substantial effect status, whereas large highly significant good immobilization prior Thus, our data suggest should avoided development underscore importance providing appropriate experimental conditions when
