摘要: Multiple epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFr) ligands have been identified, including transforming α (TGFα), heparin-binding (HB-EGF), amphiregulin (AR), and betacellulin (BTC). Previous work from our laboratory demonstrated that TGFα mRNA protein are upregulated in epidermis during tumor-promoter treatment of mouse skin tumors produced by initiation-promotion regimens. The purpose the study described here was to explore role other EGFr multistage carcinogenesis. A single topical either 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) or chrysarobin a full-thickness wound induced expression HB-EGF AR samples isolated whole skin. However, only wounding significantly elevated BTC transcript. levels transcripts were (both papillomas squamous cell carcinomas) protocols. transcript low barely detectable all examined. level keratinocyte (KGF) also examined as possible mechanism for upregulation ligands. Only KGF whole-skin RNA samples. Furthermore, no evidence obtained. results discussed terms activation carcinogenesis mechanisms altered regulation Mol.
