摘要: Hourly wind data from a network of climate stations in the north-central United States (drawn states Illinois, lowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South and Wisconsin) are analyzed to evaluate efficacy spatial analyses near-surface speed power. Spatial autocorrelation functions (acfs) were calculated at number timescales: annual, monthly, daily, hourly. Annual speeds have virtually no coherent distance-decay relationship; monthly produce more consistent relationship, but still exhibit large amount scatter. Both daily hourly classical decay with increasing distance between there appears be an optimal level temporal aggregation, near timescale, for analysis wind.
