摘要: Cerebral ischemia was produced in the rat by simultaneous occlusion of vertebral and carotid arteries according to method Pulsinelli Brierley (Stroke 10: 267, 1979). Local cerebral blood flow (CBF) determined polarographic autoradiographic techniques. Hydrogen-clearance measurements showed that mean CBF fell four monitored regions hemispheres between 0.11 0.18 ml/g/min, being least deep rostal gray, intermediate superficial greatest caudal gray. However, individual animals had local excess 0.20 even 0.30 no animal zero CBF. When were rendered hypotensive (MABP 50 Torr) during vascular occlusion, ranged 0.03 0.10 ml/g/min same regional order. With hypotension, total arrest occurred. Autoradiographic data confirmed above findings indicated adequate lower brainstem. During sufficient may be present ot sustain tissue as with a well developed spinal circulation or an inadvertently patent artery.
