摘要: An aberrant up-regulation of HOX transcript antisense intergenic RNA (HOTAIR), a long non-coding (lncRNA), is associated with human cancers including gastric cancer (GC) and worse clinicopathological features. A naturally occurring functional single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs920,778 (C→T) in the intronic enhancer HOTAIR gene has been demonstrated to affect expression susceptibility. To investigate association rs920778 on risk GC susceptibility Turkish population, hospital-based case–control study was carried out consisting 104 209 healthy control subjects matched age gender. The genotype frequency determined by using TaqMan Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction. No statistically significant differences were found allele or distributions among (P > 0.05). Our results demonstrate that not any major role genetic carcinogenesis, at least population studied here. Independent studies are needed validate our findings larger series, as well patients different ethnic origins.
