摘要: OBJECTIVE Mentorship is an increasingly popular innovation from business and industry that being applied in health-care contexts. This paper explores the concept of mentorship for newly appointed physicians their first substantive senior post, specifically its utilization to enhance patient safety. METHODS Semi-structured face telephone interviews with Medical Directors (n = 5), Deputy 4), Clinical 6) 9 acute NHS Trusts Yorkshire Humber region north England. A focused thematic analysis was used. RESULTS number beneficial outcomes were associated including greater personal professional support, organizational commitment, general well-being.
