Spatial organization, activity, and social interactions of culpeo foxes (Pseudalopex culpaeus) in North-Central Chile

摘要: Movements and interactions of Chilean culpeo foxes ( Pseudalopex culpaeus ) were studied in a semi-arid region characterized by periodic droughts. Annual home ranges adult averaged 3.7 km2 SE = 1.1), females larger than those males. Human-dominated habitats included 85% estimated ranges. Home range overlap 27%. Analyses spatial indicated that two pairs males shared the same Temporal suggested lack synchrony individual movement patterns, but most active during night. Populations prey fox declined as consequence drought.
