摘要: The inflammatory reaction in chronic relapsing EAE was studied with special reference to the alterations found early stages of disease (first attack, first remission, and relapse). during attack dominated by polymorphonuclear leukocytes, together edema sometimes hemorrhage, resembling hyperacute or neutrophilic EAE. tissue consisted myelin, as well axonal damage, involved predominately root entry zones subpial white matter lower thoracic lumbo-sacral spinal cord, less severe damage grey other regions brain. During a variable amount perivascular cuffs lymphocytes mononuclear cells were found, but cellular infiltration into neural parenchyma confined few small areas. In relapse, massive invasion noted, leading large plaque-like demyelination matter. this stage rare. lesions predominantly increasing duration disease, higher portions brain stem, cerebellar matter, centrum semiovale fornix involved, too.
