摘要: Abstract Tackling climate change and reducing reliance on energy imports justify the exploitation of unconventional around word. Influenced by U.S. shale gas massive development, Chinese government set an ambitious plan to produce 6.5 billion m 3 2015, 60–100 billion m 2020, then 13 provinces were given priorities for exploitation. China's production will go ahead. Local government's targets combined with technical bottlenecks, lack drilling experience, poor extraction operations, lagging infrastructure construction, imperfect price mechanism, water shortages, contamination, other undesired environmental effects significant levels uncertainty, are major impediments revolution in China. Exploitation reserves offers opportunities China meet its growing demands reduce imports. But ongoing plans should be seriously re-evaluated reference eco-environmental social impacts. This is a unique great opportunity demonstration model, especially countries wanting gas.
