摘要: A365 (AlSi9MgMn) is a primary die casting alloy widely used to manufacture automotive parts. Low superheat with and without cooling plate was employed in the present work produce thixoforming feedstock. The dendritic features were more frequent latter, suggesting that degeneration of structure promoted by over plate. It possible thixoform non-dendritic feedstock into simple part after it held at 580 °C for 5 min. process very challenging, however, since even slightest deviation from has either led shape distortion slug or degraded its thixoformability, resulting incomplete filling both cases. Once thixoformed, attained hardness values as high 84 HB T6 heat treatment.
