摘要: Most Vibrio species in autochthonous marine microbial communities, such as alginolyticus, harveyi, anguillarum among others, are considered nonpathogenic for humans. However, because many bacterial virulence genes located mobile genetic elements, the acquisition of DNA could mediate appearance virulent or more strains even a defined nonpathogenic. In this study, we screened collection isolated area Venetian Lagoon presence and fitness usually present cholerae parahaemolyticus clinical isolates. More than one-third tested positive at least one potential virulence/fitness with gene encoding V. cholerae neuraminidase most frequently detected. Moreover, 13 environmental carried modified versions pathogenicity island VPI-2, four them also contained partial fragments V. parahaemolyticus Vp-PAI. The data obtained support view significant reservoir genes. emergence bacteria new traits might constitute direct concern public health risk human health.
