Modulatory effects of yerba maté (Ilex paraguariensis) on the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway.

摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects yerba mate (YM) extract on phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)-AKT signaling pathway in vivo. mice were introduced either standard- or high-fat diet (HFD). After 8 weeks an HFD, randomly assigned one two treatment conditions, water at 1.0 g/kg. treatment, glucose blood level and hepatic insulin response evaluated. Liver tissue examined determine mRNA levels using PI3K-AKT PCR array. nuclear translocation forkhead box O1 (FOXO1) determined by electrophoretic mobility-shift assay. Our data demonstrated that significantly decreased final body weight, levels, resistance mice. Molecular analysis HFD downregulated Akt2, Irs1, Irs2, Pi3kca, Pi3kcg, Pdk1; after those genes returned baseline. In addition, upregulated Pepck G6pc increased FOXO1 translocation. intervention these decreasing results obtained demonstrate for first time specific action pathway, which contributed observed improvement signaling.
