摘要: Abstract Pulse-labeled poliovirus RNA is found in the cytoplasm of HeLa cells a structure which has been called “poliovirus replication complex”. The complex bound to membranes but released by treatment with deoxycholate. sediments heterogeneously sucrose gradient an average value 250 s. It unlikely that ribosomes are responsible for its fast rate sedimentation because neither puromycin nor EDTA changes this rate. Furthermore, using ribosomal highly radioactive, no association can be demonstrated. viral polymerase complex, and vitro synthesis occurs complex. Treatment pronase or sodium dodecyl sulfate decreases 30 70 This suggests protein major constituent complex; some all must polymerase. also replicative intermediate may faster than previously reported. kinetics incorporation uridine into finished chains consistent precursor-product relation. These experiments further evidence as site synthesis.
