摘要: OBJECTIVES To study the effect of fine powder ginger on lipid level in volunteer patients. METHODS This is a double blind controlled clinical trial 2 cardiac clinics Cardiac Disease Clinic, Babol, north Iran, between April to May 2004. We randomly divided patients with hyperlipidemia into groups, treatment group (receiving capsules 3 g/day doses) and placebo (lactose capsule for 45 days. All subjects diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, nephrotic syndrome, alcohol drinking, pregnancy peptic ulcer were excluded. Lipid concentrations profile before after was measured by enzymatic assay. RESULTS Forty-five 40 participated this study. There significant reduce triglyceride, cholesterol, low density lipoprotein (LDL), very (VLDL), levels separately each (p 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The results show that has lowering compared placebo.
