Those 60 years orolder those with doctorate degrees scored signifi-cantly higher inspiring a shared vision chal-lenging process. There was significant positiverelationship between total as CNO in-spiring scores onthe LPI number beds organization.Conclusions: As gain experience educa-tion, they exhibit more transformational leadershipcharacteristics. organizations should takesteps retain support their develop-ment advancement.Chief officers (CNOs) increasingly chal-lenged effectively lead today’s turbulent health-care environment. The context for leadershippractice includes positioning value-based pur-chasing, meeting regulatory requirements, imple-menting information technology, designing new caredelivery models clinical roles, implementingthe Institute Medicine’s (IOM) Future NursingReport recommendations.
