摘要: The hepatitis A virus (HAV) HAF-203 strain was isolated from an acute case of HAV infection. primary isolation in Brazil and its adaptation to the FRhK-4 cell lineage allowed production large amounts viral particles enabling molecular characterization first isolate Brazil. aim our study determine nucleotide sequence genome, compare it other genomes highlight genetic variability. complete (7472 nucleotides) compared those obtained earlier by others for isolates. These analyses revealed 19 HAF-specific differences with 10 amino acid substitutions. Most non-conservative changes were located at VP1, 2C, 3D genes, but 3B region most variable. availability complementary DNA useful recombinant VP1 protein, which is a major determinant infectivity. This protein shown enzyme-linked immunoassay blotting, be immunogenic resemble native therefore suggesting value as reagent incorporation into diagnostic tests.
