摘要: Lonidamine is a potent inhibitor of spermatogenesis and hyperthermic sensitizer. The principal established locus biochemical action lonidamine selective inhibitory effect the energy metabolism either in NAD-linked reactions germ cell mitochondria, as well glycolytic variety tumor lines by means inhibition mitochondrially bound hexokinase. We carried out vivo experiments to determine whether when combined with radiation could potentiate cytotoxic effects on two murine tumors. single acute (100 mg/kg) dose X-irradiation were evaluated transplanted methylcholanthrene-induced fibrosarcoma BALB/c mice radiation-induced C3H/He mice. radiosensitizing was maximal administered immediately prior or after X-irradiation. modifying factor estimated be 1.36 for tumors 1.25 There no disproportionately enhanced skin reaction following treatments. present results potentiating may attributed, part, findings culture studies that repair potentially lethal damage.
