摘要: Abstract Active oxygen species are thought to be involved in the causation of a number diseases including cancers. We have investigated effect 5 oxidative mutagens, methyl viologen (paraquat), mitomycin C, phenylhydrazine, cumene hydroperoxide and hydrogen peroxide, on frequency both intrachromosomal recombination interchromosomal yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae . All chemicals significantly increased dose-dependent manner. Only peroxide at doses tested this study. A role for hydroxyl radical (OH) H 2 O is indicated by ability scavenger dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) inhibit induction The results presented here give further support suitability measurements as short-term test detection mutagens carcinogens.
