摘要: Male albino rats were given ethanol (3.76 g/kg body weight/day) to induce hyperlipidemia. The showed increased concentration of cholesterol and triglycerides in the serum tissues. Inclusion coconut protein L-arginine into fed produced lower levels total cholesterol, LDL+ VLDL atherogenic index serum. Concentration tissue was also these groups. Administration caused decreased activity HMG-CoA reductase liver lipoprotein lipase heart. activities malic enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase Feeding treated hepatic bile acids fecal excretion neutral sterols acids. All effects comparable those L-arginine. These observations indicate that major factor responsible for hypolipidemic effect is due high content
