摘要: The positive profile of systemically-administered 5-HT1A receptor antagonists in several rodent models anxiolytic activity suggests an important role for postsynaptic mechanisms anxiety. To test this hypothesis, we investigated the effects WAY-100635 microinfusions (0, 0.1, 1.0 or 3.0 μg 0.2 μl) into dorsal (DH) ventral (VH) hippocampus on behaviours displayed by male Swiss-Webster mice elevated plus-maze. As prior experience is known to modify pharmacological responses test, intra-hippocampal infusions were examined both maze-naive and maze-experienced subjects. Test videotapes scored conventional indices anxiety (% open arm entries/time) locomotor (closed entries), as well a range ethological measures (e.g. risk assessment). In mice, intra-VH (but not intra-DH) (3.0 but lower doses) increased exploration reduced assessment. These observed absence significant changes activity. contrast, neither nor intra-DH altered behaviour mice. findings suggest that receptors dorsal) play mediation plus-maze experientially-induced alterations test.
