摘要: Background Fatty acid-binding protein 4 (FABP4/A-FABP/aP2), a lipid chaperone, is expressed in both adipocytes and macrophages. Recent studies have shown that FABP4 secreted from level associated with obesity, insulin resistance, atherosclerosis. However, little known about the impact of concentrations on prognosis. We tested hypothesis predicts prognosis patients end-stage renal disease (ESRD), group at high risk for atherosclerosis-associated morbidity mortality. Methods Results Biochemical markers including were determined 61 ESRD chronic hemodialysis (HD). Serum females (404.2±30.5 ng/ml) was significantly higher than males (315.8±30.0 ng/ml), levels 20-times those age-, gender- body mass index (BMI)-matched control subjects normal function. decreased by 57.2% after HD positively correlated blood pressure, BMI, lipids insulin. Multiple regression analysis indicated duration, triglycerides independent determinants level. had cardiovascular mortality during 7-year follow-up period. Cox proportional hazard showed logarithmically transformed an predictor death adjusted age, gender, (hazard ratio, 7.75; 95% CI, 1.05–25.31). Conclusion These findings suggest level, being related to adiposity metabolic disorders, novel ESRD.
