摘要: Abstract Cu–Ni alloy and low-carbon steel were joined by friction stir lap welding (FSLW) with the help of a nickel coating. The appropriate parameters investigated joints analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), shear strength testing. coating was about 2.9 times as high that without Ni According to EDS analysis fractured surfaces under test, micro-voids occurred in Cu–Ni/steel interface coating, thus reducing strength. These reduced size due self-diffusion Ni/Ni at temperature contact pressure. strong bonding mechanism could be explained iron copper atoms diffusing into through holding time.
