摘要: Human–carnivore conflicts on agricultural lands are a global conservation issue affecting carnivore population viability, and human safety livelihoods. Locations of influenced by both presence habitat selection, although these two aspects conflict rarely have been examined concurrently. Advances in animal tracking facilitated examination selection movements affording new opportunities to understand spatial patterns conflict. We reviewed 10 years data between grizzly bears humans southwestern Alberta, Canada. used logistic regression models geographic information system map the probability bear–human from data, relative bear based positioning radiotelemetry data. overlaid maps identify ecological traps, as well areas secure habitat. The majority landscape was seldom selected bears, followed traps where most occurred. Only small portion identified Such mapping methods can be reduction strategies greatest potential effective. Our results highlight need for comprehensive management reduce those problematic. These will particularly useful carnivores known with agriculture, such large that prey livestock, or pose threat safety.
