摘要: Abstract Circulating progenitor cells (CPCs) represent a pool of capable differentiating into mature different organs and systems, promoting tissue maintenance repair. Among CPCs, CD34 + cells (CD34 + CPCs) seem to predict outcome in CV disease, also elderly people. A decline CD34 + CPCs was reported with advancing age. Moreover, aging is associated state chronic inflammation, influencing life expectancy. Our purpose investigate 10-year predictive ability CD34 + CPCs, inflammatory marker levels, classic risk factors (CVRFs), Framingham Risk Score (FRS) population healthy, self-sufficient octogenarians. We found that baseline strongly mortality, showing significant difference CD34 + CPC numbers between deceased living patients. by dividing our patients tertiles based on age reached, this more remarkable the higher reached. Regressive analyses suggested chances reaching an older depend at are not significantly affected markers FRS, CVFRs, or HDL-C levels. longer oldest old, providing additional insights role subjects aged 80 years more.
