摘要: The volumes of Chinese hamster V/sub 2/79-171b multicellular spheroids grown in spinner culture were measured and correlated to DNA distribution cell volume information. Spheroid growth curves obtained over a 21 day period using both electronic measurements microscope micrometer sizing. collected from the aperture tube after sizing, single suspensions prepared via trypsinization. Saline-washed cells then stained with mithramycin analyzed as unfixed orethanol-fixed for fluorescence measurements. was determined have an initial 8 9 rapid phase, slow phase 10 days. distributions dependent on spheroid relative proportions small noncycling large cycling comprising also volume. data dual parameter contour patterns dissociated closely related revealed that fraction small, hypoxic G/sub 0/-like greatest old, spheroids.
