摘要: Hydrometallurgy deals with extraction of metal values from ore minerals through aqueous processing by solubilizing the specific value into phase and subsequently taking it out solution. These steps may be chemical or electrochemical in nature. The phenomena depends on electrical properties solid material redox characteristics present paper discusses aspects some hydrometallurgical operations involving following phenomena: (i) corrosion coupling, (ii) galvanic (iii) dissolution via cyclic action a couple, (iv) displacement cementation reaction, (v) precipitation under reducing conditions, (vi) high pressure, (vii) influenced hole transfer.
