摘要: The subventricular zone (SVZ) is a source of neural progenitors throughout brain development. identification and purification these the analysis their lineage potential are fundamental issues for future repair therapies. We demonstrate that early postnatal NG2-expressing (NG2+) progenitor cells located in SVZ self-renew vitro display phenotypic features transit-amplifier type C–like multipotent cells. NG2+ highly proliferative express epidermal growth factor receptor, transcription factors Dlx, Mash1, Olig2, Lewis X (LeX) antigen. show grafted generate hippocampal GABAergic interneurons propagate action potentials receive functional glutamatergic synaptic inputs. Our work identifies Dlx+/Mash1+/LeX+/NG2+/GFAP-negative as new class may represent specific cellular reservoir renewal adult inhibitory hippocampus.
