摘要: This study demonstrates the use of diffusion-weighted MR imaging in improving specificity diagnosis extraaxial brain tumors. Three surgically proved lesions (one arachnoid cyst and two epidermoid tumors) nonsurgically (arachnoid ependymal cysts) were evaluated with T1- T2-weighted spin-echo studies followed by intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) imaging. The IVIM images displayed as an apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) image obtained at 0.65 G/cm (maximum gradient b value = 100 sec/mm2) compared external oil water phantoms. ADC cysts was similar to stationary whereas tumors parenchyma, indicating solid nature slower rate Cisternal CSF demonstrated uniformly high ADC, primarily because bulk flow, which enhanced contrast. Improved delineation postsurgical changes also possible. Our preliminary results show that can be useful distinguishing between
