摘要: Composite bones are synthetic models made to simulate the mechanical behaviour of human bones. Finite element (FE) composite bone can be used evaluate new and modified designs joint prostheses fixation devices. The aim current study was create an FE model a tibia validate it against results obtained from comprehensive set experiments. For this, 17 strain rosettes were attached (model 3101, Pacific Research Laboratories, Vashon, Washington, USA). Surface strains displacements measured under 13 loading conditions. Two created on basis computed tomography scans. differed each other in mesh material properties assigned. experiments simulated them compared with experimental results. more accurate selected regression analysis. In general, measurements highly repeatable well published model, which inner elements representing foam assigned isotropic epoxy layer transversely properties, able acceptable accuracy. line for all axial loads combined had slope 0.999, intercept -6.24 microstrain, R2 value 0.962. root mean square error as percentage 5 per cent.
