摘要: Abstract This paper proposes that all aspects of educational futures are affected by the new thinking patterns and ways knowing have been emerging over last hundred years as part parallel processes evolution human consciousness major global societal change. Throughout 20th century, significant developments can be mapped in most, if not all, academic disciplines. Secondly, move to transcend disciplinary specialisation, via inter-, multi-, trans-disciplinary approaches is strengthening. Thirdly, at a higher order theoretical level, these explicitly theorized discourses associated with postformal reasoning, integral theory planetary consciousness. In spite other disciplines knowledge fields, institution mass public education, its underpinning industrial worldview, has pretty static since inception two ago. Finally, identifies three minor, but significant, waves evolutionary emergence education articulated nurtured could strengthen development pedagogies for 21st century.
