摘要: The present study was undertaken to evaluate the possible functional implications of previously demonstrated in vitro interactions between galanin and 5-HT1A receptors. To this end we analysed receptor agonist 8-OH-2-(di-n-propylamino)-tetralin (8-OH-DPAT) central cardiovascular regulation. 8-OH-DPAT given intracisternally (i.c.) produced a dose-dependent reduction blood pressure, peak action being 32% at 10 nmol 8-OH-DPAT. Heart rate respiration were not affected. vasodepressor counteracted by antagonist 1-(2-methoxyphenyl)-4-[4-(2-phthalimido)butyl]piperazine (NAN-190). A threshold dose (1 nmol) i.c. shown enhance effect both an ED50 Quantitative autoradiography showed that IC50 values for [125I]galanin binding sites reduced presence (10 nM) approximately 40% dorsal region nucleus solitary tract, area postrema, raphe pallidus obscurus nuclei. Galanin also significantly increased value [3H]8-OH-DPAT within tract. results provide evidence synergistic interaction regulation after their administration, possibly related ability affinity regions medulla oblongata involved control.
