Skew analysis and bounded skew constraint methodology for rotary clocking technology

摘要: The square wave generated from the rotary operation with adiabatic switching is a continuously traveling wave, which provides multiple phases of clock signal on ring. Recent research in design automation clocking implementation has adopted some simplifications phase assignments for scalability. Towards this end, techniques, employed conventional IC flows, can be as well. In work, timing framework developed and skew analysis presented technology to observe effects certain automation. Further, methodology achieve bounded technology. Experiments performed R1–R5 benchmark circuits show negligible increase wirelength (around 1.25%) constraint 3.5% bound, where as, without skew, overall would 5.5%.
