摘要: PURPOSE. To use a new methodological approach, based on luminance noise, to assess without bias the relative damage of blue-yellow and red-green pathways in ocular hypertension glaucoma correlate obtained measurements with clinical markers disease progression. METHODS. A psychophysical procedure modified from Cambridge color test was used discrimination three different groups: patients primary open-angle (n = 51 eyes), 95 control subjects 46 eyes). Viewing conditions were such that function macula being tested, using task under noisy conditions. Confusion vectors, parameters ellipses correlated perimetric data taken same groups. RESULTS. The lengths major axis chromatic all confusion vectors significantly between These measures followed significant gradient worsening performance hypertensive groups, which steeper for tritan axis. There global positive correlation cup-to-disc ratio negative mean deviation index. Ellipse length duration their state. CONCLUSIONS. This can detect visual dysfunction subset long-term preserved fields. Macular is damaged earlier than previously believed, both pathways.
