摘要: OBJECTIVES: To re-examine mortality patterns in a cohort of nickel platers with no history chromium plating. METHODS: All 284 men first employed by the company 1945-75 minimum employment three months plating department were identified. Workers who had worked or nickel/chromium departments excluded. Standardised ratios (SMRs), P values, and 95% confidence intervals calculated. Poisson regression was used to carry out statistical modelling mortalities within (internal standard). Four variables considered have potential influence cohort: attained age (age at follow up death), year starting work, period (measured from work exposure), duration exposure nickel. RESULTS: The only significant difference between observed expected numbers, when investigated site cancer broad non-cancer groupings, that for stomach (observed eight, 2.49, SMR 322). CONCLUSIONS: study provides weak evidence is associated an excess risk cancer. This does not seem experienced any discernible occupational lung Other studies rather than would be useful.
