摘要: Summary Background Marjolin's ulcer is a rare and often aggressive cutaneous malignancy arising in previously traumatized or chronically inflamed skin. Method Case report: A 79-year-old World War II veteran developed basal cell carcinoma (BCC) at the site of war wound. The tumour relation to several metal grenade fragments. With disease-free interval 61 years between injury onset complications patient had one longest latency periods development described so far. Results Review literature reveals only five cases fragments formation. Presence foreign bodies has been as possible aetiology for development. Explosives additives contain mutagenic tumourigenic substances. We hypothesize causal connection BCC. Considering long period we suggest with left soft tissue be new origin ulcer.
