摘要: Abstract Situated at the junction between inner and outer segment, connecting cilium of retinal photoreceptors supports regulated transport molecules that function distally, while restricting diffusion membrane proteins from one plasmalemmal domain to other. Both functions are thought be performed by a group stably or transiently associated with axoneme. We have identified two types unique polypeptides which axoneme in nucleotide-dependent manner: they bind axonemes presence adenosine monophosphate (AMP)-PNP, solubilized triphosphate (ATP). The first contained glyconjugates, previously shown part axoneme–plasmalemma cross-linkers cilium. second cross-reacted antibodies different conserved peptide sequences (called LAGSE HIPYR) kinesin-related proteins, included of∼85–97 kDa. Immunofluorescence microscopy whole-mounted anti-kinesin showed labeling throughout axoneme, including cilium-basal body region. These results suggest may serve as motor for material segment via
