摘要: This article evaluates the ‘Scaled Approach’ to youth justice adopted in England and Wales, compared with ‘Children First’ approach Swansea. Using Youth Justice Board reconviction data, comparisons are made between performance of Scaled Approach pilot areas, Children First all other Offending Teams Wales. Data indicates wide variability inconsistency practice across Teams, including areas. The model emerges as a promising method reducing rates, whereas (applied assiduously) has unintended negative consequences. Implications for assessment policy discussed.
