摘要: Detailed knowledge of particle motion is essential in better understanding fluidised bed coating processes. This paper reports on the use Positron Emission Particle Tracking (PEPT) order to visualise and quantify features powder movement inside a laboratory-scale GPCG-1 coater (Glatt GmbH, Germany) with tapered (conical) chamber. In all cases, clear circulating motion, upwards centre downwards along walls, was revealed. pattern lends itself operations such as coating, where controlled application onto particles essential. contrast fluidisation patterns observed cylindrical beds or spouted without draft tube, radial stronger occurred at heights bed. By introducing binary nozzle increasing atomisation air pressure, vessel found be accelerated. When spraying solution particles, effects depending properties process parameters, were observed. Besides visualisation, PEPT also used derive quantitative information height circulation time, well investigate size zone. Generally, it demonstrated that can successfully characterise under both drying conditions.
