摘要: Inactivation of the hMLH1 gene by promoter hypermethylation is one major mechanisms that induces microsatellite instability phenotype in endometrial cancers. The aim present study was to examine methylation profile a large number CpG sites spread over cancers, as well normal endometria, and investigate correlation with protein expression MSI phenotype. We found frequently methylated Surprisingly, histologically endometrium patients cancers also exhibited frequent hMLHl similar cancer lesions. These findings suggest early step for carcinogenesis, supporting concept epigenetic changes DNA mismatch repair genes are initial events trigger genetic alterations involved carcinogenesis. In addition, irregular may be useful molecular marker which screen or diagnose precancerous malignancies.
