摘要: Abstract The objective of this work was to investigate the effects nutrient solution pH, nitrogen form (NO 3 , NH 4 NO ), bicarbonate and different Fe concentrations in on concentration roots development deficiency symptoms sunflower plants ( Helianthus annuus L.). High pH induced by nitrate supply or a pH-stat device led increased low leaf associated with significant decrease chlorophyll manifested yellow leaves. Plants fed treatments 1 μM were also characterized reduced growth suppression new formation. leaves only occurred not all solution. All removed high (100 μM) at external proving that formation, caused deficiency. In treatment (1 μM Fe) similar controls found. comparison control (NH Fe), still significantly reduced, formation suppressed. CO 2 assimilation rate did differ from those plants. These results show is small green At onset development, may respond more sensitively poor efficiency than concentration. experiments plus HCO simulating soil conditions prevailing calcareous soils, youngest poor, showing retarded
